President George W Bush will decide which terror suspects are put on trial before controversial secret tribunals

1 MIN READ
President George W Bush will decide which terror suspects are put on trial before controversial secret tribunals.
Mr Bush has come under fire from civil liberties groups after signing a law allowing suspects to be tried without seeing the evidence against them.
The tribunals, which would have the power to order executions, were last used in World War Two to prosecute Nazi infiltrators and could take place in complete secrecy.
No such trial is known to have taken place yet, but with their strict secrecy, it is possible terror suspects have already been executed without anyone knowing.
