Radio TV Hong Kong audio web site reported that four Tibetans received "hefty jail sentences for arms trafficking." The four were reportedly arrested on a long-distance bus in June 2002 after 52 hand guns and 97 bullets were found hidden in their possession. A court in Qinghai Province imposed terms ranging from 11 years to a suspended death sentence, it added.
