Richard Jones, 40, white, was put to death by lethal injection. He had been convicted of killing Tammy Livingston, a 27 year old, white woman, on 19th February 1986. He was the 30th person to be executed in the State during the year, No 229 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 61st to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 659 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
