Riverside Superior Court Judge Dennis A. McConaghy ordered the death sentence for James Lee Crummel, 60, who kidnapped, molested and murdered a 13-year-old boy. James "Jamey" Trotter, disappeared on April 19, 1979 while he was on his way to school. Crummel was found guilty May 18 by a Riverside County jury.
