Robert Glen Coleman will get a second trial. The Louisiana Supreme Court ruled that Coleman's rights were violated because prosecutors in Shreveport dismissed a black juror on racial grounds.
Coleman was sentenced to death on Feb. 19, 2005 (see) in the Jan. 1, 2003 killing of Julian Brandon, 70, during a home invasion and robbery that also left his wife shot and critically wounded. The case will be returned to Shreveport for a new trial.
