Robert Lee Tarver Jr

Robert Lee Tarver Jr., 52, white was executed by electric chair at Holman Prison, Altmore. He was pronounced dead at 00:11. He had been convicted of killing Hugh Kite, a white shop owner, during a robbery in 1984. He was the third person to be executed in the State during the year, the 22nd since the State resumed executions. He was the 28th to be executed in the U.S. during the year and No 626 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
