January 14, 2001: Saudi Arabia executed two people this weekend

Saudi Arabia executed a Saudi man for shooting dead a fellow national. The Interior Ministry said that the man was executed in the province of Najran. On January 13, Abdel-Rahim Shah Qulshawal, a Pakistani national was beheaded for heroin smuggling in the town of Al-Khobar. Saudi Arabia executed 7 people since the beginning of the year. Three of them were foreigners.
