Saudi Arabia beheaded Adnan al-Shahrani in the capital Riyadh on for attempting to rape a woman in her home, the Interior Ministry said.
It said Shahrani was drunk when he barged into the woman's home, stabbed her in the neck with a knife and threatened to kill her child.
"He was unable to rape her because she resisted him. He confessed to his crime which he blamed on being drunk," the ministry said. It did not say what nationality Shahrani was but said he had a criminal record.
