SAUDI ARABIA. MAN SHOT DEAD AFTER BROTHER'S KILLER PARDONED

a Saudi man, enraged by a last-minute pardon granted to his brother's killer, was shot dead as he tried to attack the condemned man, Saudi newspapers said. They said Ali Qahtani was angered by his father's decision to spare the killer's life, which was announced to a large crowd in the southern town of Abha moments before the killer was due to be executed in public.
As the crowd celebrated, Qahtani brandished a knife and tried to attack his father and then the killer, who was being driven away. He was shot dead by police.
