the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh reported that a Filipina who was sentenced to death by stoning in Saudi Arabia was granted a royal clemency. She was identified as “Nena”, the DFA declining to reveal her true identity. Nena was indicted for adultery committed in October 2009 and sentenced to death on October 27, 2010. On May 10, the judge reconsidered and sentenced Nena to three years imprisonment.
