Several thousand Kurds held a rally in downtown Yerevan in protest against the capital punishment imposed on the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Ocalan. Chanting "Freedom for Ocalan" the Kurds demonstrated in front of the UN mission in Yerevan.
