Shailen, Azmal Gazi and Helal Sharif were sentenced to death by a District Court in Bangladesh for murder. Shailen was sentenced in absentia and was not present in court.  According to the prosecution, the three brutally murdered Ayub Ali of Aranghata village on September 15, 1995. The motive for the crime was not reported.
