SIERRA LEONE: ARMED ROBBERY: PRESIDENT KOROMA CALLS FOR DEATH PENALTY

President Koroma of Sierra Leone called for the death penalty and life imprisonment to be considered for armed robbers to serve as a deterrent to the current spate of robberies in the country. He stressed that “such strong measures must be taken to serve as an open example.”
