Singapore was reviewed under the Universal Periodic Review of the UN Human Rights Council. On the issue of capital punishment, the country’s delegation rejected recommendations to declare an immediate moratorium on executions with the aim of abolishing the death penalty, and to make public information about past executions and death sentences handed down by the courts. Singapore indicated that it considered as already implemented or in the process of implementation such as recommendations.
