Six convicted criminals were executed in south China, after mass sentencing rallies organised in two different locations in the city of Zhuhai, just north of Macau.
One of those sentenced to death was a woman from Gaozhou in southern Guangdong province. She had been involved in a row with another woman over a love affair and to get revenge she had strangled the woman's two children to death.
The six executions in Zhuhai came on top of reports that 20 had been put to death in the east Chinese city of Wenzhou.
