Six South Korean men were sentenced to death in China for drug trafficking

1 MIN READ
Six South Korean men were sentenced to death in China for drug trafficking. Chinese authorities suspended the capital punishment sentences for four of the prisoners for two years with a view to commuting their terms to life imprisonment. Of the two remaining prisoners, one appealed to a higher court while the other had his sentence confirmed. Chinese law allows the highest court to either approve the execution of prisoners sentenced to death or suspend their sentences for two years with a view to reducing their punishment to life imprisonment.
