SOMALIA: FIVE SOLDIERS SENTENCED TO DEATH IN GALMUDUG

Galmudug Military Court on 24 March 2022 sentenced five members of Galmudug's Police, Army and Paramilitary Forces to death.
The court sentenced Eid Abdi Ali, Abshir Mohamud Jama, Abdi Kafi Ali Abdullahi, Adnan Ali Salad and Maslah Abdi Omar to death.
The court sentenced Mohamed Qaline Warsame to five years in prison for being involved in the assassination of Muhiyadin Abdullahi Ali in Galkayo.
These men that were convicted were all from different branches of the Somalia’s Armed forces, they have killed civilians and other army members in Galkayo.
