Abdi kadir Shuriye was executed in Beledwen, central Somalia, after being convicted a few days previously of killing Ahmed Nur whilst attempting to steal his mobile phone. Shuuriye was handed over by his relatives to the family of the man he was alleged to have killed. A large crowd turned out to watch the execution.
