Two former security officials on July 16, 2024 were sentenced to death in Somalia for murder of a student.
The military court sitting in Mogadishu sentenced to death Mohamed Raage aka Qatatow and former National Security Intelligence Agency (NISA) officer Abdi Ahmed Addow for shooting dead 18 year old student identified as Abdullahi Abdi Isaac.
The court also sentenced a former NISA constable Farhan Aden Ilmi to three years for aiding in the murder of the first year student.
According to the prosecution, the convicts shot the student dead while he was travelling on a tuk tuk in Daynille area of Mogadishu in April this year.
