Some political leaders in Pakistan urged the US to spare Mir Aimal Kasi's life

Some political leaders in Pakistan urged the US to spare Mir Aimal Kasi's life. Kasi is scheduled to be executed in Virginia on November 14 for killing two CIA employees outside the agency's headquarters in suburban Washington in 1993. A newspaper in Kasi's home state says, "By forgiving one person, the US can win the hearts of millions of people in its war against terrorism." Local politicians say executing Kasi will hurt US-Pakistani relations. Just two days after Kasi was convicted in 1997, assailants gunned down four American oil company workers in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi.
