SRI LANKA DEATH PENALTY FOR THREE IN MURDER CASE

in Sri Lanka, the Colombo High Court Judge Upali Abeyratne sentenced three people to death over the murder of Arokayam Nickson. Nickson was killed opposite the Sathosa shop at Maligawatta on August 29, 1995.

Nickson was killed opposite the Sathosa shop at Maligawatta on August 29, 1995. The Court sentenced P. A. Antonee Perera, alias Anta, B.H. Wijeratne, alias Jagath and Bulathsinhalage Ratnasiri, alias Sudu Mahattaya, to death after they were convicted of Nickson’s murder. According to the evidence, the three (with others unknown to the prosecution) stabbed the victim with knives based on a previous grudge.
