Judge Padman Surasena of the Colombo High Court in Sri Lanka suspended a death sentence about to be handed to Pichchi Iresha Kumudini, 35, for possessing 142.04 grams of heroin after she informed Courts that she was pregnant.
Judge Padman Surasena of the Colombo High Court in Sri Lanka suspended a death sentence about to be handed to Pichchi Iresha Kumudini, 35, for possessing 142.04 grams of heroin after she informed Courts that she was pregnant. Kumudini was arrested in 1999 at Madampitiya, Colombo. The judgment has been postponed till August 4.
