The Colombo High Court on 30 July 2019 sentenced a heroin smuggler to death. The suspect is Jesmin Rizwan, a resident of Maligawatta.
The defendant who was found guilty for the possession of 321 grams of heroin and smuggling heroin, was sentenced to death by the Colombo High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi. He was arrested in 2016 while in possession of 1.068 kilograms of heroin.
