SRI LANKA: THREE BROTHERS SENTENCED TO DEATH

Sri Lankan High Court Judge Sunil Rajapakse sentenced brothers Dadallage Ajith Pathmakumara, alias Chuka, Dadallage Lalith, alias Chuta, and Dadallage Ananda, alias Kukka, from Peliyagoda, to death.
They allegedly murdered Oliver Fredrick Stephen on April 30, 2000, at Peliyagoda, by cutting him on the back of the neck with kitchen knives.
The Prosecution stated that the suspects had killed the victim while the victim was travelling on a motor bike subsequent to appearing at the Peliyagoda Police station to sign his presence at the Police station consequent to a court order.
