Yesterday, the same Sharp County jury found Wertz guilty of the Dec. 31, 1986 slayings of Terry Watts, 25, and Watts' wife, Katherine, 22. According to testimony, Wertz got involved in a custody dispute between his second wife and Terry Watts over a 5-year-old girl.
