Suburban courts around Beijing issued execution orders for at least five criminals convicted of violent crimes, including a pair of lovers who teamed up to murder one of their spouses, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.
Yao Wenhua and Chen Zongshan were executed in Beijing's Tong county after the two plotted the murder of Yao's husband in August 2000. Chen allegedly entered Yao's house and beat the unnamed husband to death with a metal pipe, the paper said.
Also executed in Tong county was Qiu Jinxin and Wang Fazhan and "a group of others" convicted of violent crimes in the county, the paper said.
