the Thai Court of Appeals upheld the death sentence of Sitthiphorn Kham-arj, a former Democrat Party MP, for his role as the mastermind in a murder. On September 6, 1997, Sitthiphorn Kham-arj allegedly planted a bomb under Pattama Fuengprayoon’s car which exploded and killed her instantly. The three other accused had their death sentences commuted. Sitthiphorn intended the bomb for Pattama’s husband but she drove the vehicle that day.
