The 12 jurors in Judge Cynthia Kent's 114th state District Court sentenced Gregory Russeau, 32, to death, for the bludgeoning death of James Syvertson. Earlier in the week, the same jurors found Russeau guilty of killing Syvertson, 75, during a May 2001 robbery.
