the Appeal Courts of Sana’a and Al-Jawf sentenced four men

the Appeal Courts of Sana’a and Al-Jawf sentenced four men, three of them brothers, to death for murdering three men, also brothers, last December. The court sentenced two other persons to 10 years in prison and one person to three years. One man was acquitted. 
Hamoud Hamid Shash, Yahya Hamid Shash and Mohammed Hamid Shash, along with Ali Yahya Al-Jayifi, members of the Shamlan Gang, received the death sentence. Saad Allah Mohammed, Ahmed Hussein Badi and Khaled Ali Mohammed, other members of the gang, received the lesser sentences.
The Primary Court in Sana’a had issued a verdict against the Shamlan Gang for intentionally beating to death Ahmed M. Al-Jaoori, Mahmood M. Al-Jaoori, and Malek Ahmed M. Al-Jaoori on December 10, 2003. The decision was appealed. The same sentence had already been issued by the Hamdan Primary Court.
