The Cassation Court confirmed death sentences issued to N.B.B. and M.M.Q., both Pakistani nationals, charged with trafficking in, possession of and trading in narcotic substances. N.B.B., had brought into the UAE 30 kilograms of hashish which he wanted to sell for 240,000 Dirhams(DH). A police officer played the role of a potential buyer and met the convict behind a hotel in Dubai. He had brought with him money which had previously been agreed upon. After the transaction was finished the first defendant was arrested. He later led the police to the second defendant, who was in possession of a large quantity of drugs.
