The Fujairah Sharia Court sentenced to death Ali Rashid Sagheer, 40, for shooting a neighbour dead in Masafi in 1999. The court ordered postponement of the death sentence, saying the killer should remain in prison until the victim's, Rashid Salem Al Abdouli, children reach the legal age at which they can decide whether the death sentence should be carried out or the blood money paid. The killer may also be pardoned if the victim's children agree.
