The co-rapporteurs of the PACE Monitoring Commission, Irena Belogorska nd Yerzhi Yaskernya met with the relatives of the members of the Armenian Government and of the Armenian deputies killed as a result of the October '99 terrorist act in the Armenian Parliament. The meeting participants discussed the issue concerning the abolition of death penalty. According to Chairman of State-Juridical Commission Victor Dallakyan, the ratification of the sixth protocol of the European Convention on Human Rights will mean that the abolition of death penalty in Armenia does not apply to the terrorists. The relatives of victims expressed their point of view, stating that the terrorists must be sentenced to death.
