The conservative Iranian daily Kayhan reported that Ghassem Abdollahi, a 47 year old Afghani, had been publicly hanged for murder in the south-western town of Poldokhtar. According to the paper Abdollahi had killed, cut up and buried a fellow Afghan whom he had robbed of 2.1 million rials (approx 256 dollars) five years ago. It did not say when the hanging took place.
