The Court of Appeals sentenced to death two of the three men accused of the Tuzla bombing incident in which five people were killed and 36 were injured. The third was sentenced to a prison term of 12 years and six months. Suspects Cumali Karsu and Enver Ozer were sentenced to death in line with Article 125 of the Turkish Penal Code for attempting to separate from the state administration all or part of the territory under the sovereignty of the state. The bomb was placed at the Tuzla train station and exploded on February 12, 1994.
