The death penalty for the murderer of a soldier on duty at Menzel Bourguiba

18 April 2018: the accused charged with murdering a soldier at the military barracks in Zaârour of the delegation of Menzel Bourguiba (Bizerte) was sentenced to death. A corporal of the national army was killed in a terrorist attack in November 2014 while he was on guard at the entrance of this military installation.
The verdict was issued by the 5th Criminal Division specializing in terrorism cases, according to the spokesman of the Tunis Court of First Instance, Sofiène Selliti.
Another suspect, still on the run, was sentenced to 36 years in prison with immediate execution for terrorist crimes, he added. (Source: African Manager)
