The Federal Court dismissed an appeal by construction worker Sam Hong Choy. Sam was sentenced to death by the Johor Baru High Court on Aug 23, 1995, after he was found guilty of firing a shot at Syed Mohsin Syed Sagap near a carpark at Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak in Jalan Wong Ah Fook, Johor Baru, on Nov 23, 1990.
