The former general manager of the Shenyang Passenger Traffic Group in northeast China's Liaoning Province, Xia Renfan, was sentenced to death for corruption and embezzlement of millions of yuan, state media reported. According to the sentence imposed by the Shenyang City Intermediate People's Court, Xia was deprived of his political rights for life and had all his private property confiscated.
