The Hanoi People's Court handed down five death sentences and six life imprisonment sentences to 11 defendants for involvement in a drug trafficking ring. The death sentence was given to Tran Van Thuong, Nguyen Van Hoa, Nguyen Van Chung, Nguyen Thi Thuy and Nguyen Quang Minh, while Lo Thanh Trien, Tong Van Minh, Nguyen Van Quang, Nguyen Thi Hien, Dang Kim Thanh and Tran Thi Thao received life-terms.
