The Intermediate People's Court in Shaoyang, Hunan Province, sentenced Zhou Shaoqiu and Tan Longzhou to death for issuance of false value added specialized tax invoices. According to newspaper reports, in September 2000, Zhou and Tan set up Longcheng Trading Ltd Company with false financial documents. From October 2000 to January 2001, Tan reportedly issued false invoices for 560m yuan.
