The Kunming Municipal Intermediate People's Court handed down death sentences to Ma Xueyun, a drug trafficker, drug smugglers Yan Zai, Ying Han and Sai Yan Shan, the latter two of Burmese nationality, and drug transporters Li Jie and Gong Xiaoying. Four others were condemned to death with a two-year reprieve.
