Shahid Saeed was condemned to death for murder. According to the prosecution at the Additional District and Sessions Court, the accused had severely beaten up one Mirza Sameeul Haq over old enmity in Muhghalpura on March 22, 1997. When his brothers, MirzaZaka, Mirza Amir and others went to the house of the accused Shahid to complain to his father, Shahid opened fire on Mirza Amir who died on the spot.
