The lawyer for eight foreign aid workers on trial for preaching Christianity in Afghanistan said he had lost contact with Kabul after the United States stepped up its air raids on the country.
"I have had no contact with (Taliban) Justice Ministry and supreme court since the October 15 attacks. I don't know what is the present position of the case," Pakistani lawyer Atif Ali Khan told Reuters.
He said he planned to leave for Kabul, under fierce attack by U.S. forces intent on hunting down Osama bin Laden, on October 21 to follow up the case.
