The leader of the militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, who was sentenced to death in kidnap-slaying of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl filed an appeal in Sindh High Court, saying he has been convicted on the basis of "fake, false and provenly planted evidence."
The appeal was filed by Saeed's lawyer Abdul Waheed Katpar, who said "two high court judges will hear this appeal and I am 100 per cent confident that justice will be done."
