The Legal Daily reported that 10 people were executed after being sentenced at a mass rally in the southwestern city of Chengdu on drug-related crimes. In southern Guangzhou, seven people were executed for transporting and distributing drugs by rail. Newspapers reported during the previous week that 38 people were executed in Wuhan, the capital of Hebei province, and Nanchong, in Sichuan.
