The Naha branch of the Fukuoka High Court rejected an appeal against a lower court ruling and upheld a 1997 ruling by the Naha District Court that found Hideo Zamami, 46, guilty of murdering two plainclothes policemen in 1990. Along with Zamami's appeal, the court also threw out an appeal by prosecutors seeking the death penalty.
