The No.1 Intermediate People's Court sentenced to death Zeng Jijun, a member of a Macao-based gang. According to the courts Zeng, a security manager of a local club in Guangzhou, set up " action groups" to specialise in recovering debts. Amongst the charges was the 1999 murder committed by the gang.
