The No 2 Intermediate People's Court of Beijing executed six people on the order of the Supreme People's Court for their direct involvement in drug-related crimes. Five of the six executed were drug traffickers. Three were female and came from Yunnan Province, southwest China. One came from Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region. The fifth came from Hebei Province, north China, and neighbouring Beijing. Zheng Fuxing was the only one among the six executed who was not a trafficker but a maker of drugs. Zheng was the chief druggist of a pharmaceutics factory in Fujian Province, east China, who allegedly used his expertise to produce "narcotic pills," state media reported. The five drug traffickers were Li Shuying, Zhao Zhimin, Ali, Dong Yingdong and Ma Wenqiong.
