The Public Opinion Research Institute of the Statistic Office in Slovakia found 57 percent are in support of the reintroduction of capital punishment in Slovakia. This is the lowest support for the death penalty over the last eleven years. Twenty-eight percent of those polled said they were in favour of abolishing capital punishment.
