The ringleader of a mob and two of his followers were sentenced to death by a local court in Jilin Province, northeast China. The Tonghua City Intermediate People's Court, delegated by Jilin Provincial Higher People's Court, announced the verdict and approved the execution of Tian Bo, and his subordinates Li Jiayong and Xu Chenggui. The 39-year-old Tian had headed a mob in Meihekou City since 1986 and carried out gun fights for 13 years with another local gang. It was also alleged that Tian reaped illegal profits of 1.78m yuan through tax evasion and that his mob were involved in drug trafficking, stealing and blackmailing.
