The Seoul High Court in South Korea upheld a death sentence to a 23 year old man, identified by only his surname Kim, on charges of murdering his mother and grandmother and attempting to kill the rest of his family after a squabble over credit card debts. "The defendant appears to have committed the crime after making his parents take responsibility for the debt crisis he created for himself," the court said in the ruling. "We decided to uphold the death penalty as he shows no signs of repentance even after his actions were cruel enough to destroy his entire family," it said.
